I like to make things: short stories, films, hypotheses about the world around us, and simple experiments with which to test their accuracy. I've been told I marry the empathy of an essayist with the hands-on curiosity of an engineer.
I've lived and worked in a lot of places. I grew up on the West Coast of Canada. I've used Bangkok as a home base while exploring Asia and Nairobi as my launchpad into Africa. I currently live in Melbourne Australia, where I'm completing my Masters degree in Chemical Engineering.
You can read about my on-going game of cultural pin-ball on my blog: Keyboard + Compass.
I also do work with Engineers Without Borders Australia and pace runs with Nike+ Run Club.
